Sunglint on the Alabama River

.Within this June 26, 2023, photo derived from the International Space Station, sun light polishes off the hassle-free waters of the Alabama Waterway in a sensation referred to as sunglint. When capturing on film The planet, astronauts often capitalize on sunglint's inclination to enhance the contrast between water surface areas and surrounding land areas.In the 1960s, the Alabama Waterway was hindered, making Dannelly Tank (the big shining location at center left). Building and construction of the dam likewise reared water levels upriver. This led to flooding at a number of factors along the waterway. These flooded zones are actually normal of floodplains-- the low, standard regions promptly beside larger rivers.
